In our opinion:

The Toshiba B-EX4T1 is in our opinion the best choice when a very large throughput of labels is required.  These printers are most often found in the print rooms of large food packaging factories and other industrial applications where a large volume of labels need to be printed.

Unlike some other manufacturers printers the EX4T1 can easily switch between label sizes and shapes with no calibration required meaning less label wastage when switching between rolls.

This is the T1 version of the EX4 and this means that you can print very clear text at greater speeds than the T2 (flat head) version, you can use longer 800 metre ink ribbons and you also have the option of fitting ribbon save module.

The ribbon save module is another great (optional) feature of this printer.  This option lifts the printhead and feeds the labels without moving the ribbon during parts of the label where there is no print.  So if you have a large label that only requires print on one half of the label then the head will lift and the ribbon will not be used for the part of the label with no print on it.  This can easily save more than the cost of the printer during its lifetime!  This option is part number B-EX904-R-QM-R and you can find it at the botton of this page or by searching in the search bar.
